    Cincinnati Style Sweet Chili

Posted by Joan on Sep 3rd 2023

Made this for four people. It was absolutely delicious! I modified the Chili somewhat. I used 1 lb. of ground round (mainly because that's all I had) and I substituted apple cider vinegar in place of red wine vinegar. I happen not to be a fan of red wine vinegar. Otherwise, the rest of the ingredients I used was as written. I served the chili with homemade corn bread and offered cheddar cheese and sour cream as toppings for the chili. We also had watermelon balls as a fruit at the end of the meal. The reason I gave this recipe 4 stars out of 5 was because the amount made was not enough for the 8 servings as stated on the packaging.

Tried with a crockpot and turned out great!

Posted by James B. on Nov 16th 2022

Tried with a crockpot and turned out great! Mixed everything in a crockpot (minus chocolate) while ground beef was cooking then drained and added it in. Let it cook for a few hours on low then added in chocolate and let it go for two more hours. One suggestion id have for your mix is more beans but otherwise it's good.
